In 2012 Michael Head (The Pale Fountains, Shack, The Strands) launched a new project Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band. In October 2017, ‘Adiós Señor Pussycat', his first album in eleven years, was released on Violette Records and reached number one on the UK Independent chart. The NME described Michael Head as “a lost genius and among the most gifted British songwriters of his generation”.
